Patterned Vase - Medium - Paddle Pop

A pattern achieved by layering vertical strokes with a wide carving tool to achieve an effect that resembles layers of paddle pop sticks.

A white porcelain vase with a pattern on the outside, glazed on the interior to hold water, but unglazed on the exterior so you can feel the pattern under your hands. The patterned vase looks great on it’s own with it’s pattern carved on to the outside, but the subtlety of the simple white colouring means that it won’t overwhelm any flowers that are placed in there. The medium size is 210mm tall and 70mm wide and is a perfect mid size for an average bunches of flowers, not too big and not too small.
